"We Need Leaders", said Brooklyn. The people answered...with dodgeball, jello shots, bratwurst, and beer - and Talib Kweli!
Teron scooped me up, along w/ Maxwell & Luaa (pretty brazilian name, but spelling?) to head to Black Apple Bushwick Block Party. Talib Kweli performed out of a garage while people played dodgeball in the street, a guy breathed fire, there was a crew of mini bike dancers. The weather was overcast & dreary, but perfectly cool and refreshing. Only Brooklyn.
"Lead By Example." I was walking in & out of the place a few times before I really took a look at the Poster Boy x Black Apple installation at the Eastern District space and had an "oh shit" moment. The backdrop of posters saying "we need leaders" made it completely filling.
Spontaneous Sunday Night Success.
Max and his girl went to World Trade Center after partying last night (morning after 9/11) - sweet idea. Sweet couple - always holding hands and they adore each other JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT.
